Allen was called to the Bar in 2024. He completed his pupillage with Mr. Albert Luk, Mr. Giles Surman, Mr. Robin Egerton and Mr. James Sherry.
Allen is currently developing a broad practice and accepts instructions in all areas of Chambers’ work, with a keen interest in criminal law and family law. Allen has appeared either in his own right or as a led junior in all levels of court, including the Court of Final Appeal, Court of Appeal, the High Court, District Court and Magistrates’ Court.
Allen is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin and has experience conducting legal proceedings, having client meetings and drafting legal documents in both English and Chinese.
Allen is also a keen sportsman. In his capacity as a Rugby Referee, he has been appointed to fixtures in the Hong Kong China Rugby Union Premiership (Men’s and Women’s), South Australian Rugby Union Premiership (Men’s and Women’s), at Provincial Level in Fiji and at Academy Level in the United Kingdom.
