Practice Profile

Leona is called to the Hong Kong Bar in 2010 and has since been developing a broad spectrum of practice in civil and criminal matters. 
Her civil practice predominately comprises commercial and contractual matters, intellectual property / passing off actions and defamation.  With solid foundation and experience, Leona is keen to be involved in cases of complex context such as Chinese Temple, securities trading and transnational disputes. She regularly acts for clients on injunction matters. 
Through having frequently briefed by the Department of Justice to prosecute criminal cases, Leona has acquired rich proficiency and is remarkably acquainted with police investigatory and trial procedures which becomes her clear asset in conducting defence case in all level of criminal courts. She also represents clients for appeal cases in High Court and Court of Appeal, in disciplinary hearing such as medical council and regulatory tribunals. 
Leona represents clients under SFC investigation to answer written enquiries and attend investigation interview. She has been appointed as independent investigation committee in appraising possible misconduct and providing advice for company pending to be listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
